Overview of the Forest Carbon Registry
What is the Forest Carbon Registry?
- The Forest Carbon Registry serves purposes of the transparent management and distribution of information and statistics of forest carbon stock, as well as implementation of carbon sink management and improvement activities as stated in Article 24 of the Act on the Management and Improvement of Carbon Sink.
- The entire process from submitting an application to trading carbon credits can be done online through the Forest Carbon Registry.
- The Forest Carbon Center plans to operate the Forest Carbon Registry starting from 2015.
